When we look at addiction
we don’t often consider how disconnected we have become as a culture.
We have become disconnected from our minds… our bodies…
disconnected from each other.
YOGA IS CONNECTION.
It puts all the pieces, pieces we have spent a lifetime separating, back together… so we can connect back to ourselves and
to one another.
SELF-ACCEPTANCE AND SUSTAINABLE RECOVERY
The spring board for developing these programs arises from the same fundamental teaching of yoga that: we bear responsibility for reducing suffering in ourselves; and once we have achieved a level of health we are to be of service to others.

RECOVERY YOGA NETWORK strives to create a SUSTAINABLE PATH TO RECOVERY for addiction, codependency, eating disorders, mental health issues and other maladaptive behavior patterns that are present in modern society. Acknowledging that RECOVERY MEANS DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE and looks different for everyone, The Yoga Recovery Network’s mission is simple; to create a resource for sustainable recovery.
The Yoga Recovery Network takes a person-centered approach to healing dis-ease in the mind, body, and spirit by merging the (interventions, wisdom, tools, or philosophies) offered through the fellowships of Smart Recovery, The 12 Steps, and Refuge Recovery with the sacred traditions of Yoga.
What is EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE? When a program is based on the results that previous users of that program have had successful outcomes, this is evidence-based.
What is RESEARCH-BASED PRACTICE? When a program based on research means that someone has observed a particular outcome, and has then formulated, tested, and measured the results of a study to test whether that outcome is predictable.
WHAT IS THE KEY? It’s important that those in need are able to find effective, sustainable program options that can help them on the path to long-term recovery. While there is a plethora of treatment options, it’s important to consider maintenance tools that contribute to your overall health and wellbeing.
